My name is Jeff Côté and I am a retired teacher from the Ontario public school system having taught grades 1-4. My specialty is working with children in the primary grades to build a strong foundation of early literacy skills, in reading and writing, so that kids feel confident and competent individually and among their peers. My experience provides me with a variety of modalities from which I can select the best elements to support your child. Working with children is my professional passion, as I enjoy helping children spark their own love of learning and seeing the gratification that comes from their progress. Whatever your child's learning needs, I look forward to chatting with you about how I can help.
My name is Mike McQuain and I worked as an elementary school teacher for 25 years. In addition to my degree in Education, I also have a French degree. I’ve taught as a classroom teacher primarily in the junior and intermediate divisions (grades 4-8) including core French. In all subject areas, through small group instruction, I’ve had much experience tailoring programs to meet the needs of individual students, assisting them to understand concepts that they’ve struggled with in the larger group setting. I enjoy bringing my skills to the task of helping young learners to advance and look forward to chatting with you about your child's needs and how I can help.
